Child Therapy in Kansas City

I’m Dr. Tish Taylor.

In my capacity as a licensed psychologist and educational consultant, I  provide my services in the following areas:

  • Leawood
  • Overland Park
  • Shawnee
  • Kansas City
  • Lee’s Summit
  • Lawrence
  • & Surrounding Areas

Having gained extensive experience in child psychology, learning difficulties, including dyslexia, ADHD, executive functioning deficits, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and behavioral problems, I am fully committed to meeting the needs of children and adolescents and their families.

My goal is to enable each client to cope with the challenges they may encounter.

I work directly with children and adolescents in the Kansas City metro area. Many of these children are from communities like Leawood, Overland Park, Shawnee, Lee’s Summit, Lawrence, or other nearby locations. I work in conjunction with parents and other professionals, to assess and evaluate each child’s problem areas and provide effective solutions on how best to work with all parties concerned.

Applying a number of perspectives, such as clinical child psychology, child development, and educational psychology, I utilize the latest research and intervention methods to facilitate positive changes in cognitive, behavioral, and emotional growth.

Through teaching my patients important skills, I help them adjust to home and school life. By offering therapeutic support and counseling where necessary, I can assist each child or adolescent in dealing with and managing their problems or learning disabilities.

My methods of child psychology, adolescent psychology, ADHD evaluations, learning disability evaluations, parenting classes, and consultation take into consideration the cultural values of both family and child, respecting the needs of all parties concerned.
