SEL Professional Development for Educators & School Staff

Specializing in ADHD, behavioral, and psychological challenges in the classroom

I am Here to Help Classrooms, Buildings, and Districts

My approach is to provide a deeper understanding of the reasons behind challenging behaviors in the classroom, in addition to providing strategies that are easy to implement.

Walking away from a school professional development training, coaching session, or school consultation session should leave staff feeling like they have gained more knowledge and have actionable steps to implement within their setting.

My SEL curriculum can be tailored to students with ADHD, Autism, psychological disorders, and emotional regulation.

Meet Dr. Tish Taylor

Dr. Tish Taylor is a licensed psychologist based in Leawood, KS, specializing in ADHD, Autism, and learning differences. For over 30 years, she has worked with children, families, schools, and the professionals who serve them, conducting evaluations, providing consultation, and training educators to better understand and support students with complex needs.

She's also the host of the ADHD Connect podcast, where she translates clinical insight into practical tools for parents, teachers, and support staff regularly.

Dr. Tish doesn't just teach frameworks. She helps the people understand their students in a new way, and walk out knowing what to do differently on Monday morning.

Training That Actually Changes What Happens in the Classroom

This training is designed for teachers, school mental health professionals, paraprofessionals, and support staff, anyone who works directly with students.

This isn't a compliance checkbox. It's professional development designed to shift how your staff sees and responds to the students who need the most support.

What your team will gain:
  • A clearer understanding of the social and emotional side of ADHD, as well as the behavioral challenges.
  • Practical strategies for supporting emotional regulation, social skills, and behavioral regulation in real classroom moments.
  • A framework for SEL curriculum that is specific to students with ADHD and behavioral challenges, not a one-size-fits-all approach.
  • Greater confidence in how to respond when things escalate, and how to build the kind of environment where escalation happens less often.

  • When a specific student situation is complex, persistent, or unclear, sometimes you need someone who has seen it before.
  • Dr. Tish offers case consultations for school psychologists, counselors, and mental health professionals who want expert guidance on how to best support a student with ADHD, psychological, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
  • These aren't evaluations. They're conversations with a specialist who can help you think through what you're seeing and what might help.

It Can Improve for Students and Staff.

Supporting students with ADHD and behavioral challenges isn't just about the students. It's about creating a school environment where your teachers and support staff feel equipped, not exhausted.

This work changes classrooms. It changes schools. And it starts with one training, one conversation, one honest look at what your students actually need.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is this training designed for?

This training is for any school staff who work directly with students, teachers, school counselors, psychologists, social workers, paraprofessionals, and administrators.

Is the training customized for our school?

Yes. Before any training engagement, Dr. Tish works with your team to understand your specific context, student population, and areas of need. No two schools are the same, and the training reflects that.

Do you work with individual schools or full districts?

Both. Whether you're a single building principal or a district-level administrator, there are options that can work for your context.

How is this different from standard SEL training?

Most SEL frameworks are designed for the general student population. Dr. Tish's approach is specifically built around the challenges and patterns of students with ADHD, psychological, emotional, and behavioral challenges, which often require a different lens, different language, and different strategies.
